![]() She was nominated as part of the Best Ensemble for Refuge Theatre Company's High Fidelity where she played "Liz" in 2017 and Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for her work as "Cheryl" in Black Button Eyes' 2018 production of Evil Dead: The Musical. Since living in Chicago, Caitlin has performed with many theatre companies and is a regular performer with Hell in a Handbag Productions, Black Button Eyes, Cowardly Scarecrow and, of course, NAFT. Caitlin moved to Chicago in 1997 to study acting at The Chicago Academy for the Performing Arts, and then majored in performance at the University of Illinois at Chicago. ![]() She grew up performing and training in Indiana where she worked with Young Actor's Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Indianapolis Civic Theatre, Boone County Civic Theatre, Edyvean Repertory, Theatre on the Square and the American Cabaret Theatre, as well as other theatres in the Indianapolis area. ![]() Other companies Jamal has worked with include T.U.T.A., The Den Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre, Filament Theatre, Mudlark Theater, Fever Up, The Beverly Arts Center, and Quest Theatre Ensemble.Ĭaitlin did her first play when she was 5 and has kept on going, pretty much, ever since (except for a 5 year break from theatre after college, when she traded acting for singing karaoke in dive bars and living under the assumption that she was probably going to be a Rock Star). He has taught theatre and dance in the Chicago area and most recently led and taught acting camp at Facets. in Theatre and Public Relations/Advertising at Loyola University Chicago. He moved to Chicago where he got his B.A. As a ticket buyer and donor, you not only breathe life into onstage productions, but you also make it possible to provide meaningful arts education programs. Jamal grew up in San Jose, California and performed musicals and taught summer camp with Children’s Musical Theatre San Jose. There he directed and choreographed The Wiz, Corduroy, and Magic Tree House: Showtime with Shakespeare, and he was the choreographer for Fantastic Mr. He served as the Associate Artistic Director at Emerald City Theatre, Chicago's theatre for young audiences. At NAFT he has most recently directed the world premiere of Scraps as well as Dirty Girl and Dark of the Moon. Jones, First-Grader, is super-excited about the upcoming Holiday Sing-Along and Secret Santa gift exchange at her school. Jamal is a Chicago theatre artist, director, choreographer, casting director, and arts administrator dedicated to courageous storytelling with heart.
